NRM Candidate Dr Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie Unveils Plans to Empower Youth and Women in Agriculture

In a bid to address the issues of unemployment and youth involvement in agriculture, the gubernatorial candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) in Edo State, Dr Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie, has unveiled plans to empower youth and women to actively participate in agriculture.

Dr Aikoriogie’s plans include providing targeted training, entrepreneurship support, access to finance, and land tenure reforms that promote gender equality and youth inclusion in agricultural value chains.

Dr Aikoriogie highlighted the importance of empowering youth and women in agriculture, stating that they play a crucial role in the development of the agricultural sector.

“We need to create opportunities for our youth and women to actively participate in agriculture as it is a key sector for economic growth and development,” Dr Aikoriogie said.

He further explained that his plans aim to provide the necessary support and resources for youth and women to succeed in agriculture, including access to training programs, mentorship opportunities, and financial assistance to start their own agricultural businesses.

Dr Aikoriogie’s vision for empowering youth and women in agriculture has been met with enthusiasm from various stakeholders in the state, who believe that it will help to boost agricultural productivity and improve the livelihoods of farmers in Edo State.

As the gubernatorial elections draw closer, Dr Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie’s plans to empower youth and women in agriculture are set to be a key issue in his campaign as he seeks to bring about positive change in the agricultural sector in Edo State.
