On this democracy day, I, Dr. Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie, the Gubernatorial candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) in Edo state, would like to wish all Nigerians a happy celebration.
As we reflect on the significance of this day, let us remember the historic June 12 election of Mko Abiora, which was adjudged the freest in Nigeria’s history. This election marked a turning point in our democracy and serves as a reminder of the importance of free,fair and transparent electoral processes.
Let us continue to strive for democracy, justice, and equality for all our citizens. May we never forget the sacrifices made by those who fought for the democratic principles we hold dear.
