In the wake of rising insecurity in Edo State, gubernatorial candidate Dr. Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) has laid out an ambitious security plan aimed at enhancing public safety and combating criminal activities, particularly the alarming rate of kidnappings along the Auchi axis by Fulani herdsmen.
Acknowledging the challenges posed by the federal government’s control over the leadership of the Police, Dr. Aikoriogie has promised to prioritize the provision of adequate equipment, gadgets, and facilities to the police force. Under his administration, operational vehicles and good housing for personnel will be made available, while the state will be connected to CCTV cameras for real-time monitoring, ensuring that policing efforts are both proactive and reactive.
